The stoves are designed to tackle Indoor Air Pollution - the fumes and smoke generated from cooking on open fires and traditional stoves that kills an estimated 1.5 million people each year.

Designed by an international team of globally recognised scientists and engineers, the cook stoves reduce toxic emissions by as much as 80%, while using 50% less fuel and reducing cooking cycle time by 40%. The cook stoves are currently available in the southern Indian states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and will be introduced across India - and eventually to other parts of the developing world.
